Te Tai Tokerau holds a special place in Patricia's heart, evoking cherished childhood memories from Hokianga. Despite her upbringing in Auckland, the essence of Te Tai Tokerau calls to her.

With a background in Kura Kaupapa, she eagerly anticipates joining Matakohe for the summer and engaging in Māori-guided projects to expand her architectural knowledge. Patricia values the integration of indigenous wisdom, driven by a genuine desire to reconnect with her Ngāpuhitanga and help communities of the Far North.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in architecture and future environments, her dedication to exploring ecologies remains. Patricia believes Matakohe will be pivotal in shaping her thesis as she pursues her Master of Architecture at AUT, demonstrating her sincere dedication to embracing her heritage authentically.
